Patte Koval honored for exemplary leadership

April 28, 2018

Philanthropist, visionary, collaborator and advocate are just a few words that describe Patte Koval, a recipient of the 2018 YWCA Outstanding Women Awards in the category of volunteerism. As chair of the Jenkins Foundation Board of Directors, Patte champions the mission of providing equitable access to health care services in Greater Richmond. Her passion for helping others and her drive to improve the lives of individuals and families in our community is admired by many.

In addition to the Jenkins Foundation, Patte serves on the boards of Richmond Promise Neighborhood and The Peter Paul Development Center, and acts as volunteer leader for Family Lifeline and Voices for Virginia’s Children. Through her consulting role at The Monument Group, she has had the unique opportunity to work alongside these organizations and offer her leadership, organizational and planning expertise.

“As our internal consultant, Patte has brought her strong organizing skills to help maximize The Monument Group’s impact on the nonprofit community,” said Monument Group Principal & Managing Partner Alan Hutson. “Whether she’s performing research on a community issue or helping us implement new intellectual property — her work is informed by her lifetime commitment of being deeply ingrained in the nonprofit community.”

An active fund donor at the Community Foundation and leader within the philanthropic community, we applaud Patte for her commitment to making Richmond a safer, healthier and more productive community. Join us in congratulating her!
